TUARAN: The Sabah Parks (TTS) Board of Trustees contributed financial assistance of RM5,000 each to 15 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
TTS under the chairmanship of Peter Lintar made the gesture in conjunction with the launch of the Stakeholders and Local Communities’ Consultation Process and the Scientific Expedition for the Expansion of Kinabalu UNESCO Global Geopark (KUGGP) and the Crocker Range Biosphere Reserve (CRBR) at Linangkit Cultural Village here yesterday.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Haji Hajiji Haji Noor officiated at the event. Accompanying him was Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Seri Christina Liew.
Hajiji presented the contributions to the leaders of Persatuan Pembangunan Lotud Negeri Sabah, Persatuan Asal Lotud Negeri Sabah, Sekolah Adat Anak Negeri Sabah, Lotud Community Learning Centre, Persatuan Nelayan Daerah Tuaran, Kelab Belia Harapan Daerah Tuaran, Kelab Tuaran Athletics, PIBG SM St John, Tuaran, PIBG SMK Sri Nangka, Tuaran, PIBG SK Selupoh, Tuaran, PIBG SK Kindu, Tuaran, PIBG SK St John, Tuaran, Selupoh Masters Athletics Club, Persatuan Belia Buansa Kg Mengkabong, Tuaran, and Badan Penyelenggara Dewan, Futsal and Padang Suworoh Selupoh, Tuaran.
TTS is an agency under the purview of the Tourism, Culture and Environment Ministry (KePKAS).
Also present were Assistant Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Joniston Bangkuai, KePKAS’ Permanent Secretary Datuk Josie Lai, TTS Director Dr Maklarin Lakim and Tuaran District Officer Herman Tunggiging.
