KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Haji Hajiji Haji Noor today presented the appointment letter to Datuk Zainudin Aman, who will assume the post of State Secretary on June 29.
Zainudin, currently the Director General of the State Public Service Department, will succeed Datuk Seri Sr Safar Untong, who retires on June 28.
Hajiji expressed confidence that Zainudin’s appointment would ensure the state civil service remains progressive and competitive in driving Sabah’s administrative transformation towards sustained progress and excellence.
“This will also ensure that government policies are implemented effectively for the prosperity of the people and the state,” he said.
Meanwhile, Safar has been appointed Chairman of Tanjung Aru Eco Development Sdn Bhd, a Sabah government-linked company (GLC), upon his retirement.
Also effective June 29, Deputy State Secretary (Administration) Datuk Norlijah Danin will take over from Zainudin as Director General of the State Public Service Department.
