PENAMPANG: A fun-packed Karnival Ramah Mesra (Friendly Carnival) is in store over the weekend (June 8-9) in conjunction with the Kaamatan Festival 2024.
Event Organising Chairman Remysta Taylor said the event is being organised by Persatuan Kebajikan dan Kasih Sayang Amal Penampang (PEKKA), and will be held at Dewan Pagansakan Inobong, here from 8am to 5pm on both days.
“We have lined up various interesting activities for the communities of Inobong and all surrounding villages. These include football open, arm wrestling, singing competition, and the village level Unduk Ngadau Contest open to Penampang folks,” he said.
Taylor, who is also the Chairman of PEKKA, said there will be exhibition booths featuring the Sabah Job Centre for the purpose of registering job-seeking people under the auspices of the Department of Human Resource Development (JPSM), Kojasa Mart, Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp), Perkeso (Social Security Organisation) and Sidma College.
He urged the people to take advantage of the free health screening programme to be provided by the Health Ministry (KKM).
