BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Haji Hajiji Haji Noor accompanied the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sabah Tun Musa Aman during an audience with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, at Istana Nurul Iman here today.
Also present was the Chief Minister’s wife Datin Seri Hajah Juliah Salag. Sabah State Secretary Datuk Zainudin Aman and his wife Datin Hajah Siti Yuslaini Mohd Samsuri were also in attendance.
Earlier in the morning, Hajiji and his wife were among the distinguished guests who attended the Guard of Honour Ceremony held in conjunction with the 80th Birthday Celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali, before attending the Investiture Ceremony and Conferment of State Honours of Brunei Darussalam in conjunction with the Sultan’s birthday celebration at Istana Nurul Iman.
During the official visit, Hajiji is also scheduled to attend several other ceremonial events organised in conjunction with the celebration, including the State Banquet in honour of the Sultan’s 80th Birthday tomorrow evening.
The Chief Minister and his wife arrived in Brunei yesterday to represent the Sabah Government at the official celebrations, reflecting the close ties and long-standing friendship between Sabah and Brunei Darussalam.
