Dr Yatimah Sarjiman
KOTA KINABALU: Kim Teck Cheong Consolidated Berhad (KTC) has appointed Datuk Dr Yatimah Sarjiman as a Director of the company effective Feb 20, 2026.
KTC Executive Director Datuk Dexter Lau said the Board warmly welcomed Yatimah and expressed confidence that her extensive experience would bring significant value to the Group.
“Datuk Dr Yatimah brings more than three decades of distinguished public service and strategic leadership across national planning, economic development and governance. Her depth of experience and policy insight will further strengthen the Board as we continue to drive sustainable growth and long-term value creation,” he said in a statement.

Dexter Lau
Yatimah has over 30 years of experience in public policy planning, human and financial resource management, regional economic and administrative development, social administration, as well as international relations and foreign affairs. Her professional expertise spans rural development, international industrial structures, the plantation industry and women empowerment.
During her 34-year public service career, she held several strategic positions, including Deputy Secretary-General at the Prime Minister’s Department and Director-General of the Women Development Department. She also served as Director of the Agriculture Division and Deputy Director of the Infrastructure and Utilities Division at the Economic Planning Unit (EPU), Prime Minister’s Department.
Most recently, as Deputy Secretary-General (Sectoral) at the Economy Ministry, she played a key role in formulating the 12th Malaysia Plan Mid-Term Review tabled in Parliament. She also contributed to the National Energy Transition Roadmap launched in July 2023 and the National Energy Policy 2022, supporting Malaysia’s aspiration to become a low-carbon nation by 2040.
In addition to her new role, Yatimah currently sits on the boards of PETRONAS Gas Berhad, Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT), Felda Investment Corporation Sdn Bhd, PR1MA Communications Sdn Bhd and UEM Group Berhad.
She holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting Information System from Idaho State University, USA, a Master of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Northrop University, USA, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Universiti Utara Malaysia.
The Board said it looks forward to Yatimah’s contributions as the company continues strengthening its governance framework and advancing strategic objectives.
