KIULU: A State Government led by Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) as the dominant party will ensure political stability in Sabah, said Chief Minister and GRS Chairman Datuk Seri Haji Hajiji Haji Noor.
Only through political stability and solid cooperation with the Federal Government can the State Government bring more development and implement its plan to create a prosperous Sabah, he said.
He said it was imperative for the people to continue their support to GRS “because we want to take care of our own State.”
“We need the people’s support and GRS must be returned as Government in this election to ensure political stability in Sabah,” he said at the meet with the people session at the Dewan Terbuka Kiulu today.

Hajiji, who is also GRS Sulaman candidate, rejected the notion by the oppositions that the Federal Government is taking everything from Sabah.
“As a nation, we must have a strong cooperation with Federal too. But it does not mean we are giving in to them.
“During our meetings, I have always been steadfast and firm in maintaining our stand in demanding for Sabah’s rights,” he said.
“It will be a loss for the state if GRS could not continue its Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya development plan,” he said.
On claims that the GRS led State Government has failed, Hajiji said it was the other way round.
“The oppositions only managed to become the State Government for just over two years. This means they are the ones who have failed,” he said.
He said the oppositions have run out of ideas, full of rhetoric and only raise issues without substance.
Hajiji was also confident that GRS candidate for Kiulu Datuk Joniston Bangkuai would be returned as the State Assemblyman in view of his service to his constituents.
“With only four more days before election, I urge the people to make the right choice and ensure all the successes that we have achieved can be continued in the next five years,” he said.
