KOTA KINABALU: DAP Sabah has expressed respect for the decision of Datuk Frankie Poon and Liau Fui Fui to leave the party along with their respective branches, while extending gratitude for their service and contribution to the people of Sabah.
DAP Sabah Chairman Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe thanked both leaders for their years of commitment to the party and wished them well in their future endeavours.
“DAP Sabah sincerely appreciates their service to the party and to the people of Sabah. We wish them all the best in their future undertakings,” he said in a statement today.
Phoong said it was now time for DAP Sabah to remain focused on serving the people in Sandakan and bringing more positive development to the community.
He added that he had spoken to DAP Sabah Secretary and Sandakan Member of Parliament Vivian Wong Shir Yee and expressed full confidence in her leadership to strengthen the party’s grassroots network and organisational machinery in the district.
“I have full trust in her leadership to consolidate and strengthen the party’s machinery in Sandakan, ensuring that we continue offering people-oriented ideas and services while diligently continuing our work on the ground,” said Phoong.
He reiterated that the new DAP Sabah leadership remains committed to serving the people with honesty, humility and dedication.
“Together, we will unfold a new chapter — one that brings hope, resilience and unity for all Sabahans,” said Phoong.
