KOTA KINABALU: The State Government acting through the Tourism, Culture and Environment Ministry (KePKAS) and KTI Sdn Bhd signed an agreement for the proposed Ddevelopment of a Cultural and Traditional Complex in Kinarut, Papar at the ministry’s office here Wednesday.
Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Christina Liew witnessed the signing.
KTI Group Managing Director and CEO Datuk Dr Gordon Loke Theen Fatt and Group Executive Director Wilson Loke Choon Syn signed on behalf of their company while KePKAS Permanent Secretary Datuk Josie Lai signed on behalf of the Sabah Government.
Liew said the proposed project on a public-private partnership basis is scheduled for completion by the end of 2028.
“When ready, the 35 indigenous ethnic groups in Sabah will be able to hold activities and showcase their cultural heritage in the cultural complex,” she added.
