KOTA KINABALU: Api-Api Assemblywoman Datuk Seri Christina Liew has donated five sacrificial cows for Muslim communities in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha.
Yesterday, she distributed cut meat portions to village residents at Kg Sabang Baru Numbak, Indah Permai, Kinarut Settlement, Sembulan and Sinsuran, after the ritual animal sacrifice performed by the respective imam (Muslim religious leaders).
“My contribution is to enable the Muslim families to celebrate this religious festival, where they can continue the tradition of Qurban which involves the slaughtering of cows for food. I wish them ‘Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha’,” said Liew.
The Assemblywoman was accompanied by her Political Secretary Vivien Lee Mee Peng, Api-Api Community Development Leader (PPM) Theresa Chong Mui Lan, and Api-Api Community Development Officer (CDO) Yoong Yik Tin.
