KOTA KINABALU: It was a heartwarming celebration of love and gratitude as flowers, cakes and songs took centre stage during a special Mother’s Day luncheon held yesterday.
The event, organised by the PKR Kota Kinabalu Division Women’s Wing, brought together women from various walks of life to honour mothers and their immeasurable contributions to family and society. The Women’s Wing is led by Vivien Lee Mee Peng.
Api-Api Assemblywoman Datuk Seri Christina Liew was present at the gathering to join in the celebration and show her support for women in the community.
A touching moment during the event saw Liew joining the mothers in singing the classic Mandarin song “Only Mama is the Best in the World”, symbolising the deep emotional bond between mothers and their children.
