KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Haji Hajiji Haji Noor reiterated the State Government’s appreciation for the continuing support from the Chinese community as partners in progress and development.
“With such solid support, I believe Sabah will always be on the right track under the Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya development plan,” he said at the Federation of Chinese Associations Sabah (FCAS) Angpow Festival at the Hakka Hall here last night. His speech was read by Deputy Chief Minister II cum Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam.

Hajiji said the Chinese community in Sabah has long played an important role in the development of the economy, commerce, education, culture and social welfare, among others.
The State Government will continue to work with all like-minded organisations including the FCAS which value political stability, to ensure economic development and progress will not be impeded, he added.
