FLAG OFF… Deputy Chief Minister cum Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam (right) representing Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor, flagging off the Global Expedition Club’s (GEC) 12th Malaysia Asean Kinabalu Climb 2023 at the Timpohon Gate, Kinabalu Park, Kundasang, on Saturday.
Four young Malaysians -Hafiz Mahat, Mohd Eyrzatt, Jacky Wong and Eunice Chong – who will take the Mt Everest challenge are among the 60 participants of the high altitude training at Mt Kinabalu.
It also involves climbers from Thailand, Singapore, South Korea and Iran.
Also present was Permanent Secretary of the Local Government and Housing Ministry, Datuk Dr Jamili Nais (left).
