KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Haji Hajiji Haji Noor received a courtesy call from Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil at his office in Menara Kinabalu here today.
During the visit, Hajiji was briefed on the latest developments in Phase Two of the National Digital Network Plan (JENDELA 2), which is among the key initiatives to expand digital communications infrastructure and coverage in Sabah.

The Communications Minister had earlier said that JENDELA 2 covers 3,000 locations nationwide, with about 2,000 locations in the interior areas of Sabah and Sarawak being the focus of Phase Two.
Also accompanying the visit were Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) Chairman Tan Sri Mohamad Salim Fateh Din and MCMC Commissioner General (R) Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Zulkifeli Mohd Zin.
Also present were State Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk James Ratib, Nominated Assemblyman Datuk Mohamed Razali Mohd Razi, the ministry’s Permanent Secretary Datuk Hassan Mahali and Sabah Net Chairman Datuk Azman Ruslan.
