KOTA KINABALU: The 26th Sabah Hospitality Fiesta (SHF) and Sabah Hospitality Expo (SOHEX) will return to the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) from Nov 20 to 22, bringing together hospitality professionals, industry players, exhibitors and the public.
Jointly organised by Asian Tourism International College (ATI College), the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) Sabah and Labuan Chapter and SICC, the milestone edition marks 26 years of growth, innovation and collaboration in Sabah’s hospitality sector.
The Sabah Hospitality Fiesta will bring together the State’s culinary and hospitality professionals to compete in various competitions, learn from one another and earn recognition for their skills.
This year’s edition promises bigger competitions, stronger industry connections, unforgettable experiences and greater opportunities for those involved.
Meanwhile, SOHEX, themed “Bringing Sabah To The World Through Hospitality”, will serve as the trade and networking platform for the weekend, where exhibitors and industry partners will showcase their latest products and services, meet buyers and establish new partnerships.
The expo is targeting a footfall of 10,000 visitors.
The organisers also acknowledged Nestle as the main sponsor for SHF, as well as the Sabah Tourism Board, Tourism, Culture and Environment Ministry (KePKAS), Sabah Convention Bureau, Malaysian Convention and Exhibition Bureau and Meet in Malaysia for their valuable contributions to this year’s event.
Their involvement reflects a collaborative effort to strengthen Sabah’s tourism and hospitality ecosystem.
This year also sees the addition of two new fairs to SOHEX, namely the Bridal Fair and Education Fair, offering more reasons for the public to attend.
The Bridal Fair will cater to couples planning their weddings, offering everything from wedding venues, gowns and attire to florals, photography, catering, planners and other requirements for their big day.
The Education Fair, meanwhile, will provide students and parents with information on study and career pathways in the hospitality industry, as well as an opportunity to have their questions answered.
The public is warmly welcomed to attend the three-day event.
Visitors who spend a minimum of RM30 at SOHEX will also be automatically entered into a lucky draw and stand a chance to win mystery prizes.
