KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Haji Hajiji Haji Noor wants the Sabah Native Land Services (PANTAS) programme to be intensified and for native land title surveying issues affecting the people to be quickly resolved.
“The PANTAS (Pengukuran Tanah Anak Negeri Sabah) programme which has been implemented since 2011 will be continued given its importance,” he said at the Land and Surveys Department’s Service Excellence Award (APC) ceremony at the Sabah International Convention Centre here today.
Hajiji urged the State Land and Surveys Department to be sensitive and to keep abreast of changes to their job requirements and to carry them out efficiently.
“The Land and Surveys Department in this respect must provide the best facilities and services through the existing Assistant Collector of Land Revenue and District Surveyor Office or District Assistant Surveyor Office so that the public will be able to conduct landrelated businesses in their respective district,” he said.
Hajiji with all the 87 recipients of Land and Surveys Department Excellence Award (APC).
High expectations of better public service, including that of the Land and Surveys Department mean providers of such services must adapt and adjust to changes to remain relevant in fulfilling the people’s expectations, said Hajiji.
The Chief Minister also advised public service personnel to hold on to a high degree of integrity.
“To further strengthen the work culture, more training programmes, skills and knowledge enhancement must be conducted,” he said.
Congratulating the Land and Surveys Department for its achievement in developing the Smart Geo Sabah system, Hajiji said the department has set the benchmark for a digital transformation based on three concepts – an innovative public service, a public service with sufficient capacity as well as culture creation and a public service that optimises data analysis.
