KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Haji Hajiji Haji Noor has welcomed the role of the engineering profession in supporting the realisation of the Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) 2.0 development agenda.
He said he was encouraged by the readiness and commitment shown by the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) Sabah Branch to continue working with the State Government in achieving its development vision.
Hajiji said this during a courtesy call by an IEM Sabah delegation led by its Chairman Datuk Ir Ts Mohd Yaakob at Menara Kinabalu here yesterday.
During the meeting, IEM Sabah also expressed appreciation to the State Government for its continued support of its programmes, particularly the Conference of ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (CAFEO) held in Kota Kinabalu in October 2024.
