KOTA KINABALU: Datuk Jamawi Jaafar today officially handed over the chairmanship of Sabah Urban Development Corporation Sdn Bhd (SUDC) to his successor Pengiran Saifuddin Pengiran Tahir Petra at a ceremony held here.
Jamawi, who has served as SUDC Chairman since 2020, is currently the Sabah Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry Minister.
In his speech, he congratulated Pengiran Saifuddin on the appointment and expressed appreciation to all SUDC staff for their cooperation and support throughout his five-year tenure.
“What is more important is delivering our duties to the public,” he said.

Jamawi also expressed confidence in SUDC’s continued commitment and progress under the new leadership.
Meanwhile, Pengiran Saifuddin, 67, the former SUDC Chief Executive Officer, thanked Jamawi for his contributions and dedication to the corporation.
Also present were SUDC General Manager Anthony Undan Dumpangol, Chief Executive Officer Datuk Afizal Aldin and staff of the corporation.
Earlier, Jamawi attended a meeting with Sabah Maju Jaya Secretariat led by its Chief Executive Officer Datuk Haji (Datu) Rosmadi Datu Sulai at Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry Ministry (MAFFI) building.
