BERLIN: Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Christina Liew optimistic that ITB Berlin 2024 would lure more European tourists to Sabah.
She said this at a dinner she hosted for the Ambassador of Malaysia to the Federal Republic of Germany, Datin Paduka Dr Adina Kamarudin and the Tourism Malaysia Frankfurt Office as a prelude to ITB Berlin 2024 at a leading restaurant here yesterday.
Tourism Malaysia Frankfurt Office Director Robinder Kaur and Deputy Director Aswad Aziz were also present.
Liew is leading a delegation from the Sabah Tourism Board (STB) to attend ITB Berlin 2024, the world’s largest tourism trade show set to take place on Berlin exhibition grounds from March 5 to 7.
Dr Adina, who was accompanied by her spouse Mahzan Abdul Samad, welcomed the Sabah delegation, comprising Assistant Minister cum STB Chairman Datuk Joniston Bangkuai, Ministry’s Permanent Secretary Josie Lai Mei Sing, Sri Pelancongan Sabah Chairman Ken Pan Ying On, and STB Chief Executive Officer Julinus Jeffery Jimit, among others.
