KOTA KINABALU: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) will celebrate its 39th anniversary this year at the Hakka Hall here on Mar 5.
Its Secretary General Datuk Julita Majungki said the event will be attended by over 500 divisional leaders, including the Women and Youth wings.
Earlier that day there will be a seminar on economics to empower members, she added.
Julita, who is the organising chairperson, said PBS President Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili will officiate the event, as well as PBS founder and Premier Advisor Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan.
“The President’s speech is expected to touch on the way forward for the party, besides reminding the role of every member to keep PBS a force to be reckoned with,“ she said.
The President is also expected to re-emphasise the importance of PBS’ role in the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) as the local coalition’s second largest component member.
