KOTA KINABALU: United Malaysia, the country’s official Manchester United football fan club, has installed its new committee for the 2026-2028 term following its Biennial General Meeting (BGM) held here today.
Batholomew Jingulam was returned unopposed as President for a sixth consecutive term, reflecting strong trust and confidence from members in his leadership.
The BGM recorded healthy attendance by members from across the country, including Kuala Lumpur.
Bryan Faurillo was also returned as deputy president. Nine members were elected to the committee for the 2026-2028 term: Adrian Sibangun, Anita Dingkawan, Dora Limus, Daniel Roman, Durie Rainer Fong, Darrell Ho, Daniel Liew, Pauline Lee and Normiate Mapiasa.
Lindsay Michael was re-appointed as secretary, with Michelle Faurillo as her assistant. Fynn Floyd Wong was named treasurer, assisted by Jillianne Flair Bonnie.
The president also appointed Simon Peter, Tony Henry Lojungin and Fazrilan Rusulan as special officers to support the committee’s work.
Presenting her report earlier, Lindsay said that although the outgoing committee had limited time after being installed last year following an Emergency General Meeting, it still delivered key activities. Chief among them was the club’s youth development effort through the United Malaysia Football Clinic (UMFC).
Expressing his appreciation, Jingulam thanked the outgoing committee for its dedication and hard work. He urged the newly installed committee to build on that momentum.
“I thank the previous team for their commitment. To the new committee, let’s continue the good work for the betterment of the club and all our members. United is stronger when we work together,” he said.
