Sabah Head of State Tun Musa Aman, accompanied by his wife Toh Puan Faridah Tussin, graced the Chinese New Year Open House celebration hosted by the State Government on the second day of the Spring Festival. They were welcomed on arrival by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and his wife Datin Seri Juliah Salag.
It was attended by about 25,000 people at the Sabah International Convention Centre on Thursday.
The guests were entertained with a variety of cultural dances from the Sabah Cultural Board (LKNS) and Kian Kok Middle School, a performance by the Sabah Tshung Tsin Secondary School Chinese Orchestra, Wushu martial arts demonstration, diabolo, Sabah vocalists such as Donald Wesley Liew and Annabelle Pei Pei and a performance by 15-year-old budding saxophonist Zara Goh Flintoft who played an instrumental number “Versace on the floor” composed by Bruno Mars, an American singer-songwriter and musician.
