KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Rubber Industry Board (LIGS) paid RM1.5 million in contribution for 2022 to the State Government yesterday.
It was the second time that LIGS had contributed to the State Government after the first in 2021, in which it contributed RM1.3 million.
LIGS Chairman Datuk Edward Linggu presented the cheque replica to Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor at Menara Kinabalu here.
Also present were LIGS General Manager Sabdil Tanjong and board members.
During the courtesy call, LIGS briefed the Chief Minister on LIGS activities and programmes such as the Rubber Purchase Incentive (IPG), Bantuan Musim Tengkujuh (BMT), People Income Initiative 2023 (IPR) and its way forward to boost the State’s rubber industry.
