KOTA KINABALU: Fans and supporters who purchased tickets for the 5th United Malaysia annual dinner have been reminded to come early for the event at the Hakka Hall Grand Ballroom here tomorrow (June 9).
United Malaysia President Batholomew Jingulam said this was so they could take part in the early bird lucky draw at 6.30pm which would enable them to win a free trip to watch Manchester United play at its Old Trafford home ground in the United Kingdom (UK).
“As it is a working day, it would be a good move to come early as well in order to avoid the evening rush hour,” he said, in a statement today.

Batholomew said the draw would be among the host of activities lined up for the night.
“Of course, the highlight will be the remaining Old Trafford trip grand lucky draw but attendees also have a chance to win other lucky draw prizes during the night,” he said.
United Malaysia is the country’s official Manchester United supporters club.
Towards this end, Jingulam said he was expecting a night where Manchester United fans will paint the Hakka Hall red.
After being unable to hold the much-anticipated event since 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, he said, everyone would be psyched to meet up with old friends as well as rekindle their United bond.
“Our theme for the annual dinner is United Unite! Still United… I am happy to say those words could not ring more true as all our 110 tables have been snapped up.
“Such is the enthusiasm by our members and supporters who are not only eager to attend an official Manchester United related event but also to support their favourite football club,” he said.
