TUARAN: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) Kiulu has agreed to contribute funds to the Kiulu Mini Bus Operators Association to provide free bus services to the people in Kiulu for two whole years beginning in 2023.
The free rides are available every Tuesday and Wednesday, which will benefit farmers bringing their produce for sale at the weekly Tamu in Kiulu (Tuesday) and Tamparuli (Wednesday).
Meanwhile, Gagasan Rakyat Kiulu first meeting on Sunday (April 9) saw Janih Bangud selected as protem chairman, George Teo (deputy chairman), Jammery Yunin (vice chairman), Dohudi @ Jamadi Gimus (secretary), Ustaz Roslan Awang (Information chief), Saitin Bangkok (Women chief), Larry Jeffson (Youth chief) and Eva Clayrista Argisclye (Beliawanis chief).
According to Janih, 25 committee members have also been appointed and 93 branches have been set up in order to obtain approval from the Registrar of Societies (RoS).
During the meeting, Janih reminded Gagasan Rakyat members to continue supporting the leadership of Tuaran Member of Parliament, Datuk Seri Panglima Madius Tangau from Pakatan Harapan and Kiulu Assemblyman, Datuk Joniston Bangkuai from PBS/GRS.
This is to ensure people in Kiulu will continue to benefit in terms of development and economy, said Janih, adding this was also part of the message delivered by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor who is also Gagasan Rakyat president during the party’s inaugural delegates conference last month.
