Dr Joachim, who was accompanied by his wife Datin Seri Lindah Ewit and Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister Datuk Haji Ruslan Muharam, also conveyed the sincere and deepest condolences to the family and the people of Sarawak for the loss of such a great leader.
“He was one of the longest serving Chief Ministers (Premier) who had made Sarawak very great and what it is today. So, we also felt the loss of their great leader,” said Dr Joachim.
Abdul Taib, also known as the Father of Modern Sarawak, died at a hospital in Kuala Lumpur at 4.40 am Wednesday.
