KOTA KINABALU: Pertubuhan Muafakat Titipan Amal Isteri Wakil Rakyat Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (MUTIARA GRS) aims to establish strategic partnerships with organisations that share similar aspirations in order to expand initiatives that provide direct benefits to the community, said its President, Datin Seri Hajah Juliah Salag.
She also called on all members to double their efforts in this direction and dedicate their time and commitment to the association’s programmes.
She emphasised the importance of active participation in every activity organised.
“To further strengthen our welfare and community programmes this year, I urge all members to be more proactive and actively involved in every activity, particularly within their respective areas.
“I hope every member will continue to work together and move in tandem to ensure success and achieve the noble objectives for which MUTIARA GRS was established,” said Juliah, who is also the wife of the Chief Minister, when speaking at the 5th MUTIARA GRS Annual General Meeting at Rumah MUTIARA GRS here today.
Juliah also encouraged members to contribute ideas focusing on women’s empowerment, welfare programmes, entrepreneurial skills development and other related fields.
“I want members to explore and propose activities that can enhance their skills, knowledge and overall wellbeing. We can plan self-development programmes such as social etiquette training, health workshops, sports and recreational activities, digital literacy and educational visits.
“Besides strengthening bonds among members, these initiatives also provide meaningful opportunities for us to continue learning, build networks and progress together,” she said.
Juliah expressed hope that all initiatives planned for the year would be implemented effectively and according to schedule for the benefit of the people.
“Success requires unity and the support of all parties. Without consensus and hard work from everyone, it is impossible for this association to function as an organisation capable of bringing meaningful change and wellbeing to the community,” she said.
