KOTA KINABALU: Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Seri Christina Liew, who is also Sabah Malaysia My Second Home (S-MM2H) State Committee Chairwoman, wants the media fraternity to play a part in enlightening the public on government policies and programmes such as the Sabah MM2H Programme, and contributing to its success.
“Through your articles, you, as responsible disseminators of information, are entrusted with the task of highlighting the policy governing the programme and the prerequisites for participation in the programme.,” she told reporters after officiating at the Open Day cum Dialogue Session with S-MM2H agencies last Friday.
According to Liew, the State Committee’s target for 2025 is to attract at least 500 applicants.
The S-MM2H Programme officially started on December 12, 2024, and is still in the early stages of implementation.
Some 120 people, including 30 agents, attended the event held at the Magellan Sutera Hotel, Kota Kinabalu.
