KOTA KINABALU: Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) received the ASEAN Mice Venue Standard – Exhibition Venue Award and the ASEAN Mice Venue Standard – Meeting Room Award at the National-level ASEAN Tourism Standard Awards Ceremony 2024 organised by the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Ministry at Cyberview Resorts and Spa, Cyberjaya, Kuala Lumpur, on April 29.
SICC CEO Datuk Dr Hajah Rosmawati received the awards from Ministry’s Secretary-General Datuk Roslan Abdul Rahman, who represented Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing.
The ASEAN Tourism Standard represents a unified effort by ASEAN countries to enhance service quality within the regional tourism sector, aligning with the ASEAN Strategic Tourism Plan 2016-2025.
This recognition underscores SICC’s commitment to excellence and its contribution to positioning ASEAN as a premier global destination.
