PAPAR: Support for Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) especially in Limbahau is growing from strength to strength said party Vice President Datuk Johnny Mositun.
The growing support is evident as 130 people from Limbahau have recently applied to join PBS, he said.
The applications were from PBS Kampung Tempasak, PBS Kampung Labak, PBS Kampung Limbahau and PBS Kampung Bolotikon.
Speaking at the joint annual general meeting of the PBS Limbahau branches here today, Mositun said support for PBS also reflects the people’s support for Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) led by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
“I hope that with this support will further strengthen PBS Limbahau’s efforts in fighting for the welfare of the people in the constituency,” he said.
Mositun also expressed hope that there will be no member ‘pinching’ by political parties as there are quite a number in the area.
Member pinching is an unhealthy practice and must be stopped for the sake of a stable political landscape in the area and the state, he stressed.
During the meeting, there was a cake cutting in conjunction with PBS’ 39th anniversary.
Among those present at the meeting were PBS Supreme Council Member Datuk Bernard Dalinting, PBS Executive Secretary Masilus Roman, Benedict Bototol, GRS Youth Information Chief Steve Johnny Mositun and Organising Chairman Soon Chung Hing.
