KOTA KINABALU: Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Christina Liew graced the 24th Piala Puteri Golf Tournament prize presentation luncheon at the Pacific Sutera Harbour here Monday.
About 100 golfers from Peninsular Malaysia, Sarawak, Brunei, Labuan and Sabah participated in the event organised by the Malaysian Ladies Golf Association (MALGA) at the Sutera Harbour Golf & Country Club.
In her address, President of MALGA Tunku Puteri Jawahir Almarhum Tuanku Ja’afar thanked Liew for giving the organisers the support and generous sponsorship to ensure a successful ending.
Organising Chairman Datin Jeanette Tambakau said the Minister’s kind support goes a long way to help us promote domestic sports tourism through the game of golf.
Also present were another royal member Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz, who made a special appearance on the golf course, and Sabah Tourism Board (STB) Chief Executive Officer, Julinus Jeffrey Jimit.
