KOTA KINABALU: Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe paid a courtesy visit to the newly-appointed Deputy Education Minister Wong Kah Woh in Putrajaya yesterday.
The purpose of the meeting was to foster collaboration and explore avenues for enhancing educational initiatives, with a specific focus on the Luyang constituency.
Congratulating Deputy Minister Wong Kah Woh on his well-deserved appointment, Phoong who is also Luyang Assemblyman expressed confidence in Wong’s ability to deliver commendable results during his tenure.
They discussed on strategies to elevate educational institutions in Sabah, emphasising the significance of addressing the specific needs of Luyang.
The exchange of ideas showcased a shared commitment to ensuring that schools in Sabah, particularly in Luyang, receive the necessary resources and support to thrive.
Phoong underscored the importance of synergy between the Federal and Sabah Governments to meet the evolving needs of the education system, fostering an environment where students can flourish and reach their full potential.
Phoong said the commitment to enhancing educational opportunities in Sabah also remains his top priority, adding collaborations with key stakeholders, such as Wong, will continue to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of education in Sabah.
