Hoping this culinary experience enriched the Miss Tourism pageant with an additional layer of cultural diversity, the Luyang Assemblyman expressed gratitude to the organising committee for choosing Sabah as the venue.

He also highlighted the unique opportunity to showcase the region’s unparalleled beauty and cultural richness on the international stage.
Focusing on Foh Sang, he emphasised the positive impact of such global events, envisioning it as a potential tourism destination celebrating local Chinese culture in Luyang.

Phoong underscored the transformation of Luyang into a dynamic and liveable place over the past three to five years, crediting the emergence of innovative concepts in the food and beverage sector.
He also reiterated his commitment to the wellbeing of Luyang’s residents.

Against the backdrop of durian festivities, Phoong emphasised the crucial role of promoting entrepreneurship and industrial development in Sabah.
