KOTA KINABALU: Five incumbent State Assemblymen from Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) have reaffirmed their commitment to remain with Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and to fully support the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Seri Haji Hajiji Haji Noor.
They are Datuk Ellron Angin (Sook), Datuk Robert Tawik @ Nordin (Bingkor), Datuk Abidin Madingkir (Paginatan), Datuk Anwar Ayuub @ Annuar Ayub (Liawan) and Datuk Flovia Ng (Tulid).
In a joint statement today, the five representatives said their priority is to ensure political stability and the continuity of development under the GRS-led State Government.
“As State Assemblymen from Parti STAR, we will maintain our stand to continue working with GRS and to fully support the leadership of the Chief Minister of Sabah, Datuk Seri Haji Hajiji Haji Noor,” they said.
They emphasised that political stability remains the cornerstone for sustaining development efforts that benefit the people.
“In our view, political stability and development continuity are priorities under the current Sabah State Government. Therefore, we uphold the mandate and trust given to us by the people,” they added.
The Assemblymen also underscored that any decision regarding the party’s direction should be made prudently and with the people’s and the state’s interests at heart.
“Therefore, we stand firm in remaining with GRS and defending our seats under the GRS banner as a mark of loyalty to the people’s mandate and in the interest of Sabah’s stability,” they said.
