KOTA KINABALU: POIC Sabah today held a strategic meeting with Kuala Lumpur-based technology solutions provider ICOMM Sdn Bhd to explore the potential adoption of its innovative emergency response platform, ResǪmi.
The POIC delegation was led by its chairman and former Sabah Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee, together with Group Chief Executive Officer Datuk Fredian Gan.
During the session, ICOMM presented a demonstration of ResǪmi, an integrated application designed to support emergency services with real-time, critical information during medical crises, security incidents and natural disasters.
Yong expressed strong interest in the platform, stressing its relevance in enhancing public safety infrastructure.
“Tools like ResǪmi can improve the speed and coordination of rescue missions, ensuring help reaches those in need more efficiently. This isn’t just a benefit for Sabah; it is a crucial advancement for the entire nation,” he said.
He added that under POIC’s stewardship, the organisation is committed to supporting innovations that strengthen personal safety and emergency response capabilities.
Following the presentation, both sides engaged in a dialogue on the role of integrated technology in national safety and its potential to empower frontline emergency teams.

The meeting concluded with a shared vision to progress the initiative to its next stage, with both parties aligned on leveraging technology to enhance national safety.
ResǪmi is expected to be released to the public in the first quarter of 2026.
