KOTA KINABALU: Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Kota Kinabalu, Dr Huang Shifang paid a farewell visit to Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Seri Christina Liew at Wisma Tun Fuad Stephens here yesterday.
The Minister expressed her appreciation to the Consul-General for her support in promoting Sabah as a preferred tourist destination in the China travel market.
“We hope Dr Huang’s successor will continue her good work for mutual benefits,” said Liew.
The outgoing Consul-General urged the Minister to maintain the strong friendship and bilateral relations between Sabah and China from the tourism perspective.
Dr Huang leaves on March 27 to take up her new appointment in China, after having served in Sabah for almost three years.
“I wish her good health and all the best in her future undertakings,” said Liew.
