KOTA KINABALU: The State Government acknowledged the importance of the security force and health workers, especially their sacrifice in ensuring peace and public order in Sabah all these while.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Haji Hajiji Haji Noor said the frontliners are risking their
life on a daily basis to protect the people and state.
Speaking at the presentation of Hari Raya Aidilfitri food to the frontliners at Menara Kinabalu here today, Hajiji said Sabah had been affected by several natural disasters since last year.

He said this year Sabah was hit by floods in several districts including Kota Marudu, Kota Belud, Telupid, Pitas, Beluran, Lahad Datu, Sandakan, Beaufort, Tongod and Paitan.
“In fact, the latest information from the Malaysia Meteorological Department forecasted that continuous rain will start from March 18 until 21 in Sabah, Sarawak and the southern peninsula.
“Besides flood, there was also a fire disaster this year in Likas that left 80 families homeless this year.

“During these catastrophes, our frontliners, particularly the uniformed bodies, security
forces and health workers have discharged their duties tirelessly to save lives. I wished to express my gratitude,” he said.
Hajiji said the presentation of the Hari Raya goodies was very meaningful as it marked the State Government’s appreciation of the frontliners’ sacrifices.
“It is more meaningful that the ceremony is held during the month of Ramadan. Take this as a symbol of the people of Sabah’s tribute to your deeds and serve as a motivation for you to continue giving your service with dedication,” he said.
