KOTA KINABALU: Yayasan Sabah Group (YSG) is offering the Madani Rebate Incentive to student loan borrowers from April to June 2025.
This initiative allows borrowers who fully settle their outstanding loans to enjoy a 30 per cent rebate on their remaining loan balance.
Yayasan Sabah Director Dato’ Sri Gulamhaidar Khan Bahadar said this programme is introduced as a gesture of the YSG’s concern in easing the financial burden of borrowers while encouraging full loan settlement.
He added it also serves as a token of appreciation for borrowers who have consistently made payments, enabling YSG to achieve a record-high collection of RM6.6 million annually for two consecutive years, 2023 and 2024.
“As per the existing methods, payments can be made via Maybank2u for Maybank customers, as well as JomPAY and telegraphic transfer for other banks.
YSG also provides alternative payment methods such as Bank Standing Instructions, bank drafts, cheques, cash payments or Debit Card transactions at the counters in Menara Tun Mustapha, Teluk Likas, and the Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) Kota Kinabalu,” he explained in a statement today.
“YSG has also launched the Loan Repayment Portal in March 2025 to enhance convenience for borrowers. This portal is an information platform for graduates who have completed their studies, providing access to payment details, rebate incentives, loan policies, FAQs, and communication channels with YSG,” he added.
