KOTA KINABALU: Luyang Assemblyman Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe is confident that the new Kota Kinabalu Mayor Dato’ Sri Dr Sabin Samitah’s leadership will elevate Kota Kinabalu to new heights and establish it as an international city of distinction.
The Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Minister acknowledged Dr Sabin’s exceptional vision, extensive experience and unwavering professionalism as shown during their recent discussion.
“Dr Sabin’s appointment is a testament to his outstanding leadership qualities. His vision for Kota Kinabalu aligns seamlessly with our shared commitment to progress and development,” said Phoong in a statement today.
He said with a wealth of experience and a fervour for urban development, Dr Sabin brings a unique perspective and he eagerly anticipates a collaborative partnership that will drive innovation, foster economic growth and enhance the quality of life for the Kota Kinabalu residents.
“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Dr Sabin on this well-deserved appointment. Together, we embark on a journey to shape the future of our vibrant city.
“I hope that we can work closely to continue and make Luyang and Kota Kinabalu a comfortable and liveable city,” said Phoong.
Phoong was also present when Dr Sabin received his appointment letter from Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor in Menara Kinabalu here earlier today.
Also present were Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister Datuk Abidin Madingkir and State Secretary Datuk Seri Sr Safar Untong.
