KOTA KINABALU: The Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Exco Wanita meeting today has resolved to fully support the Chief Minister’s leadership under Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) and welcomes it as a local component party to the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) coalition.
“We fully supports the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor as his commitment to the Sabah First agenda ensure equal development for all people of Sabah regardless of race, religion and background, which is in line with PBS’ political belief,” said PBS Wanita Chief, Datin Malianah Ugau.
She added that throughout Hajiji’s tenure as the state’s premier leader, he has overcome many challenges and his style of leadership that focus less on politics has proven valuable for Sabah as it seeks to recover economically from the global post Covid-19 effect.
Hajiji’s belief that action speaks louder than words and his effort to stabilise the political situation in Sabah has seen the State making a remarkable recovery as last year alone, the State managed to secure RM33.4 billion in foreign and domestic investments.
PBS Exco Wanita also reiterated their solid support to GRS and looks forward to a close cooperation especially at the grassroots level in order to bring in and unite more Sabahans to be part of the coalition’s struggles.
