KOTA KINABALU: Three Sabah Para athletes namely Brenda Anellia Larry (swimming), Heronlee Wong (athletic) and Brady Chin Zi Rong (ping pong) were selected to represent Malaysia in the Bahrain 2021 Asian Youth Para Games which will be held from December 2-6, 2021.
They will be accompanied by Wong Hie Ming (coach) and Maria Binti Lucas (chaperone).
Sending the state team off at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) here were Tan Hwa Koon, President of Persatuan Sukan Dan Rekreasi Untuk Orang Kurang Upaya Negeri Sabah (PESRON Sabah) and some members of the association.
They will undergo a two-day centralised training at Pusat Kecemerlangan Sukan Paralimpik Malaysia (PKSPM) before heading to Bahrain on Nov 28.
Tan is looking forward to see more of Sabah Para Athletes representing Malaysia in the near future.
