Stephen met the people of Kg Kodoingan
KARAMBUNAI: Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) has called on the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) State Government to take proactive measures to ask Putrajaya to continue channeling its annual development allocation for all parliamentary constituencies represented by the opposition.
STAR Vice President, Kapitan Stephen Teo said the allocation will be able to provide additional funds to the annual allocation of the State assemblymen (ADUN) to implement small projects in their respective area.
“We also request that the annual allocation for the parliamentary constituencies represented by the opposition to be handled jointly between parties that are members of the GRS coalition,” he said.
Stephen, who is also the Karambunai STAR Division Chief, said this Sunday when meeting residents who need various village facilities such as drainage, road upgrades, sports facilities and business sites.
During a brief ceremony at Kg Kodoingan Malawa, Stephen received 90 new members which include Kodoingan branches led by Cayus Lipaun, Mogiding (Nareus Sabinus) and KKIP Malawa (Simpilisius Lipaun).
According to him, based on sources, the previous Government Members of Parliament had received an annual development allocation of around RM3.5 million which he described as very helpful in meeting the demands of the people.
Stephen said the Karambunai STAR Division also have a collaboration networo with Karambunai Assemblyman, Datuk Yaakub Khan to implement small development projects but that the available finances are very limited.
