KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Fish Marketing Agency (Safma) paid RM1 million in loan repayment for this year to the State Government.
Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor, witnessed the cheque presentation ceremony held at Menara Kinabalu, here, today.
Finance Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Haji Rusdin Riman, received the cheque from Safma General Manager, Amir Bangsa Ahmad .
Safma Chairman, Mokran Ingkat, and Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Datuk Dr Mariana Tinggal were also present.
Briefing the Chief Minister afterwards, Amir said that with the latest payment, the State GLC’s outstanding loan to the State Government now was RM2.7 million.
Mokran, who is Sungai Manila Assemblyman, and Amir also briefed Hajiji on the development of a cold storage facility at the Safma fish landing jetty.
