KOTA KINABALU: Qhazanah Sabah has reached out to 71 deserving families through its Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the ‘We Care, We Share’ programme, which provide food baskets to the needy communities.
Some 35 and 36 families from Kampung Cenderakasih in Kolombong and Kampung Kalansanaan in Inanam, respectively, received the food baskets from Qhazanah Sabah’s Executive Director, Haji Mohd Shukor Abdul Mumin and Chief Executive Officer, Ahmad Rizal Dahli, today.
It was witnessed by Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Datuk Haji Yakub Khan. Each food basket contains supplies such as 10kg of rice, 1kg of cooking oil, 2kg sugar and other essential food items.
Yakub, who is also Karambunai Assemblyman, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Qhazanah Sabah for yhe contribution.
“I sincerely hope Qhazanah will continue the good effort and be an example to other government-linked companies (GLC) to reach out those badly affected by the pandemic,” he said.
Earlier, Mohd Shukor said that during this unprecedented situation, Qhazanah Sabah remains committed to support the Sabah State Government in its effort to combat the pandemic and help the locals socially.
“Driven by our We Care, We Share CSR mission, we believe in investing in sustainable initiatives. We hope this can help to alleviate the burden of the families involved,” he said.
