KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) Kota Kinabalu Branch has begun immediate distribution of food packs in the city during the pandemic.
Its Branch Chief, Samuel Wong, said he has received many complaints from urban folks who were marginalised by the Government.
“We are responding to the complains from the public.
“Warisan does not have any elected representatives in the Kota Kinabalu constituency, but we will play a proactive role to help Sabahans from all races and religion,” he said in a statement today.
Samuel said Kota Kinabalu is home to hundreds of thousands of Sabahans, but often overlooked.
“KK City is the most populated area in Sabah. KK City is also home to hundreds of thousands of Sabahans. KK City area consists of Api-Api, Luyang and Likas.
“But sadly, KK is often overlooked by the Government because the Government assumed KK folks are rich.
“The reality is everyone from all walks of lives are affected by the lockdown and the pandemic.
“So a little help goes a long way. We hope to be able to walk through this challenging times with KK city folks.
