TAMBUNAN: Following the donations appeal from Bondulu Chirdren’s Home, Toboh which was shared via social media, Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan who is also the Tambunan State Assemblyman immediately send supplies of necessities.
Deputy Chief Minister’s Liaison Secretary Justin Yonsoding together with Tambunan District Officer Jumain Abdul Ghani sent donations to the centre.
“We send donations in the form of cash, daily necessities, dry and wet food,” he said.
Also sending donations were staffs from the Tambunan Assemblyman’s Office and the Tambunan Community Development Liaison Unit (UPPM).
In the message which went viral on social media, it was stated that the home which houses 70 children under the age of 18 is having difficulty meeting daily necessities due to the difficult situation at the moment.
Children of various neglected families from all over the state are brought up in the Catholic Church’s home to be schooled until they are able to be independent.
The management of the centre said a total of RM20,000 is needed every month to finance the daily lives of the children.
The needs include food, hostels, water facilities, electricity, Wi-Fi for education, employee allowances, logistics, maintenance and healthcare.
